Vanity

Words hurl refrain In nothing plain A touch most vain Sleeps in complaint Vain is the way Of death's dismay Too soon retreat Unclogs odd beat If you must be Be vain yet free All else is lost In dying cost To have and hold Best you be bold Absurd am I In snoring sighs Not hot nor cold But truly old Time mellows well The tales I tell Yes I am vain Simple yet plain Leon Enriquez 08 June 2018 Hamlet Place, ACT
