In a modern life that is risqué
Pot mentality that grew and grew
One rides upon spacious freeway
With an ungenerous point of view.
The stratus to reach, man’s destiny
A monument to a nation’s pride,
No power to ride, a mutiny
Abrupt anger with every stride.
Man’s achievement to the moon and back
Evolution within outer space
Yet never to make a single track
To greet a new neighbour face to face.
Today’s government wearer of green
Issue a tax to clean up the air,
Everyone knows it’s only a screen
Pollution of the soul to be fair.
Industrial propaganda this
Causing more strife upon work shop floor
Unceasing improvements “Judas Kiss”
Spent work force expert’s, used as a whore.
Corporation fast track the classroom
Certificate of achievement apt,
The seed of naivety to groom
Moulding of world leaders to adapt.
The same classroom so full of knowledge?
Production “Just in Time’ to attain
Robots in abundance this college
The power to wait to ascertain.
Life today measured by the Hero
Big men acting out their movie
Reduce common trauma to zero
These small characters, not so groovy.
Today’s annual assets augment
One’s skill atoned to make a living,
The ease of earthly values well spent
This cycle of life unforgiving!
