Valentine's Legend - Adaptable
[Substitute names for your friends]
According to the legend, romantics often say,
Birds will choose their mates on Valentine’s Day.
And, according to the rumor, I just heard today,
James chose Marie the very same way!
It was in the springtime of his young life,
While looking for a sweetheart to become his wife.
And she was young and lovely with eyes that shined,
As she gleamed and beamed at her Valentine.
So they became sweethearts on a very special date,
As Cupid shot his arrow, aimed so true and straight.
Now, when birds choose their mates on Valentine’s Day,
They smile as James gives to Marie a red bouquet!
