Us In a Nutshell
Life and love were disappointing
As you searched for a brand new start
And then this desperado came
And stole your quickly beating heart
The years flew by, those days and nights
As wants and dreams we'd see unfold
Through the ups, downs and sideways
We found ourselves start to grow old
You wear your heart on your sleeve
And let me know what's on your mind
I'm more reserved and bottle up
Feelings of which I'm consigned
Because you are so much younger
I'm concerned that you'll be happy
And hope you'll always think of me
As your lover and not your pappy!
