I can sit alone with minutes and minutes into hours stacking them like bricks and making many towers so as I sit in towers and thought’s a mighty wall there’s depth within those minutes until the towers fall

I loved the subtly of your words--words that remind me of my overthinking hubby...his thoughts are deep but eventually they crater sometimes into negativity, a type of downward spiral. Anyway, wonderful job, Clive.

I like how this is almost like a nursery rhyme. For an over thinker (possibly me) I'll think a lot of tall towers, build them up just for them to crash down and I'll regret the time I spent building. Like reciting a nursery rhyme when you get to the end all that's left to do is start at the beginning.

Not really my kind of poetry this but it turned out like this while writing and I found it yesterday from my earlier ones and really liked it, your comment says it right, thanks D

There is no safe sanctuary in which we can hide for very long, no matter where our thoughts take us. We're all eventually exposed at some point in life, whether we choose to be or not. Excellent showing without telling, Clive. Your poetry is always subtle, but distinctive.

Clive your work, always thought provoking! Have I interpreted a proper meaning? Safety in the realm of thought, when reality shall expose it's not.
