upon Godfather theme

the voice on record that repeats
I'm haunted from a sway to a croon
a phantasm that comes now speaking softly love
cracks through my face first then onto the floor

I'm haunted from a sway to a croon
as the crystal china with my cadence falls
cracks through my face first then onto the floor
I'm kneeling to get cool

as the crystal china with my cadence falls
the winecolored days lost where
I'm kneeling to get cool
this tender and trembling moment's strain

the winecolored days lost where
drinking the shivers left on your glass,
this tender and trembling moment's strain,
within its magic foams

drinking the shivers left on your glass,
a phantasm that comes now speaking softly love
within its magic foams
the voice on record that repeats

~ inspired by the song, "Speak Softly Love"
by Andy Williams, theme of movie, "The Godfather"

Both sad and beautiful reinterpretation of that love song, Hun. You’ve effectively captured its haunting nature with a deeper perspective. Depicting Love with/as «magic foam » is powerful. These are the best lines for me “ drinking the shivers left on your glass, this tender and trembling strain,”. Pantoum served you well, once again. Have a peaceful day/night, talented Poet. And ThkU for always popping in at my pg. xx

Such an interesting phantom. You use uneven lines, different from how I do them, but it's your style and works well

The title is thus because my poem is based on the movie's theme song, "Speak Softly Love"- in THE GODFATHER film. :)

Paige, you composed a really good Pantoum. I am aware that writing those is challenging. I no longer write pantoums as frequently as I once did.

It's not easy to write a pantoum. You wrote a very clever one. I'm not writing so much these days.

Aw, sorry you haven't been writing as much lately. You have to push yourself, sometimes- it also helps fighting depression. :) Stay true, stay in muse
