Up Until Midnight

Up until midnight am I
looking for a rhyme
It's late I say
to bed I should lay.

It used to be
up until midnight I was
with a lover you see
but no longer is he.

Alone I lay with my thought
instead of pleasure sought
it's now words at play
Instead of a roll in the hay.

Lee, this free verse made me chuckle, somehow the words tumbling around in the bed are less complicated that the lover in the bed most of the time anyways, a wonderful 7
