Notes About The Poem

Up In Fumes

Latterly skies blazed
after gold riches were lost
mourned by seas of blooms
exuding heady perfumes
Scarlet sun has gone down slow

Evelyn, your Tanka is both charming and sweet! I relished the vivid imagery of the sky turning crimson after the loss of gold fortunes, a sorrow that was echoed by the sea of blooming flowers.
