Until We Meet Again (Tanka)

Sweetly scented dreams
Now, caste upon breath of wind
Pleasant reminders
of the blessed life we have shared
My dear prince -- love has no bounds

Tanka
A Japanese poem of five lines, measured in units of 5-7-5-7-7 the first and third
composed of five syllables and the others seven.

Great use of this form, Adell and all we have is the faith to hang on to that we will be reunited with those who have gone. Love indeed has no bounds but I sure wish somebody would get in touch from the other side once in awhile ... LOL ...

This is so refreshing. I really like the images in this piece. This is appealing to the sense of smell and is vibrant. It's as soft as the evening wind upon the rosy cheeks of lovers. Great job! ~Joseph

Beautifully written and so tender. I really love it. Becoming a souper has opened my eyes to so many poetry forms, filling me with inspiration. I have read several Tankas today but none so wonderful as this. Nigel
