Unscratched Itch

If people have some sort of yearning, dissatisfaction or some itch that hasn't been scratched, it might be because they aren't looking in the right direction for a solution. They aren't looking within.     ~ Russell Brand


Sometimes I need to make a switch
when things go awry, like a glitch
causing worry and makes me twitch
An unscratched itch      An unscratched itch

Mindful of things I'd like to do
a new hobby I might pursue
learn to paddle my own canoe
Have a breakthrough        Have a breakthrough

To satisfy my heart's desire
and ignite the spark of love's fire
I'd do whatever I require
My goals aspire     My goals aspire

Scratch my itch when I've the notion
Put my ideas into motion
following through with devotion
and emotion             and emotion
