Unraveled Threads
Threads unravel, bare and thin,
the fabric frays where life begins.
I trace the scars along my skin,
each mark a map of storms within.
Breath catches where the silence looms,
a heavy weight in shadowed rooms.
Fingers graze the fractured seams,
mending moments lost to dreams
The winds you speak of touch my face,
they stir the ash, they leave no trace.
I watch them twist, they call my name,
but all that answers feels the same.
My voice dissolves, it falls apart,
a fleeting hymn, a fragile spark.
The words escape, they drift like sand,
a tether held in unseen hands.
I write to feel, I feel to write,
to break the dark, to chase the light.
And though the ink may stain my veins,
it bleeds the hurt, it hides the pain.
Together, we are pieces sewn,
the jagged edges, sharp and known
Your verse, my voice, the lines we weave together we find it’s a fleeting love which we grieve
