Unloved By Father
I want to see you
I want to tell you things
But your not here
Is it that you don't care?
Or are you too scared?
I want you to be a part of my life
Yet somehow you forgot me
You sit with your new family
And I wonder if you have forgotten
For a split second
Or an entire year
You must have thought
Running off was the best for me
I can tell you it wasn't
I don't hate you
I hate that you don't care
I do not know what it is like to
Give a card on Father's Day
Or hug a dad when he gets home from work
I desire these things
But I can't have them
So take a second out of your hectic life
And for once
Answer you little girl
