Unknown
We walk through crowded streets,
faces turned to screens, hands clutching time,
a tide of voices pressing forward,
yet the silence between us roars loudest.
In this vast, unwritten emptiness,
our stories tangle like stray threads,
separate, frayed, yet yearning to weave.
The weight of solitude feels lighter, shared.
A glance, a nod, a fleeting smile,
strangers tethered by the ache of being seen.
We are islands adrift in the same sea,
finding shorelines in the nearness of others.
Loneliness binds us—
not as a chain but a thread,
thin, fragile, but unbroken.
In the unknown, we belong.
