Unhinged Heart
The things in this world I cannot stand….
Situations I can’t change with my own hand.
So I sit there quietly and take it all in…
Facing this spiral of disillusionment,
Where shall I begin?
You’ll never know the truth of how I feel…
Or the thoughts that run through my head,
You’ll never revive what is no longer real,
Do you not see what you do?
You keep the nonsense with your past going….
And all the while, you say we’ll see things through.
Yet, my anger for you continues growing.
But no, I am not showing…
My love is no longer flowing…
Until you get the message….
Throw the past away!!
The people in it.
The heartache from it,
The desire to take my truth and spin it.
Throw it away!!
When will you wake up?
And realize you have something special?
The beating warm heart has turned cold and black,
And there is no turning back.
I thought the world of you,
But you still have this opened door.
And until you close it once and for all…
I will love you no more.
