Undone
“The only correct actions are those that demand no explanation and no apology” Red Auerbach
On my fridge I have a list of all the things I need to do.
Today I put up a list of all the things that need to be undone.
Stick around and I will explain my second list to you.
The beginning seems best to start, so here is number one.
When we argue I always refer to your family as being the fault.
Now I will rescind all those unkind words admitting I was wrong.
And your family who have done no wrong I will gladly exalt.
For all the times you disciplined the kids, and I did not go along.
Making me the good guy and you the mean one, I wasn’t fair.
I will talk to the kids, let them know I was wrong and mend my ways.
All the great meals you make and I eat by the TV in my easy chair.
From now on we all eat at the table and that’s the way it stays.
In two golf clubs now, I am gone nearly all weekend playing.
I hardly get to see you and the kids Its time to for me to choose one.
Its expensive, so from now on, with you and the kids I’ll be staying.
I don’t need to be in two clubs so membership at one gets undone.
My list is short but I am sure I can find things to grow it.
And you will be pleased when you see things around here improve.
I love you darlin and from now on I am going to show it.
Maybe I can even attack the to do list to and really get on the move.
