Under the Rainbow

’twas during a full moon
I met a medieval knight
He said things once were different
Rainbows used to shine at night

But God was getting older
And he liked a little nap
Yet he kept being woken
So he called that Merlin chap

Merlin said I’ve got a spell
I’ll cast it if I may
My spell will make sure that we get
Our rainbows in the day

So, you can doze serenely, God
the ancient wizard said
If you want a siesta
You can be a sleepyhead

God thought how things used to go
He’d been a restless soul
For when the moon passed through the bow
The angels all yelled ‘GOAL!!’

Hello Terry … and like the sport itself. These goals don’t come very often. Your imagination is great - thanks Terry - Lindsay

As I said to Jan, the rainbow was so perfect and ‘solid’ it was kinda crying out for a football. Chuffed that you liked it. Terry

Thanks Rico. The notion of a rainbow being a celestial goal just came to me. Cheers Rico. Terry

Hi Jan. Saw a rainbow today, a perfect half circle, and it just looked like something you’d kick a ball through or over (Nurse is on her way). Thanks. Terry
