Line Gauthier Poet Free verse

Under the Bridge

what do you do
when you've
been violated
by someone who's
not playing
with a full deck

do you just wait
and let both
time and water
sweep it all
under the bridge

wouldn't it be
wonderful
if forgetting
was as easy
as forgiving
