Under Robins Kind Wings

               Dedication to a Lost Poet

It is a beaming,summers' Spring.
And you lie in nature's sweet earth,
under robins’ wings.
Beneath fertile Wisconsin ground.
You lost in cancers' last final round!

The rooms empty of your laughter.
That was vibrant and reached the rafters.
I sit here, in utter, somber disbelief
Can't I stop thinking of you...is there
to be no relief?

My very small successes, so minuscule!
Rather hear your laughter, on how I broke
all the rules.
Or see your angelic, blond hair aglow in the sun.
Dancing, skating, playing house, having Chicago’s,
little girls' fun.

We lost so very much as we aged!
God came to take you home He turned that final
life's page.
You, who put others before herself
Became a member of Poetry Soup to
support me and express herself.

               Au Revior, Sweet Cousin Madelyn!

A lovely soulfull poem, Pangie. So kind to write a tribute to your cousin, Madelyn. I'm sure she's smiling now, and proud of the woman her cousin has become. Bless you for your loving heart my friend. A poet friend in Texas, Bill

Very beautiful tribute! Who would notice, one less star from the sky...there are so many? But one less outstanding poet/poetess, and earth rightfully mourns. Fortunately, poetry is written on the soul of humanity, thus becomes immortal. She is among her great peers, blessing and guiding the future pens of love. Poetry, is the summit of God-inspired expression. God cherishes and holds her dearly I am certain.

I applaud those who contribute to life, not take from it, for their own self-aggrandizement. Madelyn was one of those rarities. Not—what can you do for me...but what can I do for you. Not, see my wins! But, how can I help you win. She promoted others , not herself.Poetry was but one of her achievements...she had just started. But~ chemotherapy, cancer, and a paralyzed face on one side from that vaccine did her in. Like you, she gave to society and those she loved.huggs, Panagiota xx

A lovely tribute to Madelyn Pangie, the only consolation is that she's no longer suffering and at she's now at peace. Tom

Hello, Tom, a brave soul, she was. Who told me..” I want to be on earth, as long as I can! “.. I hope there are ski slopes in heaven for her, and lakes to swim in! I just know she is close to the Prince of Peace. Thank you... Huggs, Panagiota xx
