A Rainy Night's Sunrise
A watercolor sky
at Dawn-washed salmon, and light
lemon hues. The colors
are reflections,
in a lone fresh puddle shaped
like a winding stream;
in the shiny streets;
the gleam of the cars of greys
and deep Twilight blues.
Spring in her charming
ways, sprouts lime-green grasses
that in early Autumn
will be a sun faded
shade of chartreuse, in overgrown
fields, or farmlands bowed
to a coral sky.
And on shores, the evening
captivates the sea
with daubs of lilac
and saffron tints, the sunlight
a pallette of Summers..
And a crimson light
winks through the lithe fingers
of the watchful trees
aligned aside the town-
houses with tangerine shades,
lifted in the 'Morn.
A distant harbor
is a watermelon burst,
and warm buttercup hues.
And aquamarine
scrubs with lavender gloves
cup a lilac dusk.
