Uncover Me

I said, “I don’t like my nose.”
God told me, “Your nose is beautiful.”
I said, “I don’t like my smile.”
God told me, “Your smile brightens the day.”
I said, “My eyes are too big.”
God told me, “I see too small.”
I asked him, “What does that mean?”
God answered, “You’re looking in the wrong mirror.”
I asked, “What are you talking about?”
God answered, “Here, turn to me. Now, what do you see?”

I like this, Briana! It is so true that we don't see ourselves as God does. We see all our imperfections while God sees a masterpiece. Great message! Love, Kim

Interesting, Briana, Welcome to Poetry soup, I hope you enjoy the community. Here, you will find friendly poets who enjoy supporting one another. I myself, enjoy reading and commenting those who want to be read. The only time I give constructive criticism is when a poet desires it. However, if for some reason the poem is not my field I will guide you to someone who is more qualified than I. Stop by and read one of my poems if you like. My poems are not perfect, but I have a feeling you might like one. I encourage you to check out the contest page and read to receive comments. Tell me a little about your poetic skills if you like. It will be my pleasure to follow and read every poem you post from here on :) We are Lucky To Have you. Your New Poet Friend @-> LINDA <-@

We face so much insecurities in our lives. We are looking into the world's mirror than looking in the mirror that God has given us which is him. Psalms 139:14, "For I am fearfully and wonderfully made..." Let's #stopInsecurity in those God has called....he has called you. For more encouragement follow me on Twitter @Beauti4ul_one Be Blessed!
