Uncommon Courtesy

The bookstore door

startles open with

a man's hearty hand

and sincere smile 

landing upon

this skirted lady, 

bashful to be 

coddled, but

undoubtedly 

wanting it.

Mirrored cheeks widen  

like the open door

with hearts extending.

Thanks is verbalized

and humbly

appreciated.

He tilts his top hat

and I am flattered

by the flirt

of uncommon

courtesy.
