Unapproachable

Life’s ironic
I walk around unrecognized
Almost invisible to everyone’s eyes

The world is all around me
Passengers fleeting quietly by
Several doors to travel, the key I have not

Usually grouped in two and threes
I am grouped in one
Mouth closed, ears opened, I am the unapproachable

They do not talk to me for they cannot see
I am standing in the distance
A background, a noise, something yet to be

Once or twice I’ll get a glance my way
No conversation instigated
Because there is nothing to say

It’s like the rain coming down
In large sheets of water
Everyone concealed

But, I am like a butterfly
My cocoon soon to open
Many things to say

For now I have the key to many doors
Yet to be opened
Mouth ready, ears alert, I am the approachable one......
