Such felicity to tip toe
On thin ridge
Delivering a premise

Such strain in the chest
To pour over a love-chest

Heart sluggish or fast or missing
A beat , the ancient treadmill

A woodpecker bores
Deep into a collage
An origami of conversations

Which way you look
The only way back in the day,
Of senescence,
Metamorphosed since

For a racy glide painless
For plain or phantom rides.

Jag, these verses seem almost like a series of haikus, wonderful, unexpected juxtpositions of words, which somehow make sense anyway. Fine job!

I agree with the comment below, it is an amazing poem, I think I get most of the metaphors, but your images and metaphors are sooo deep and profound, even for me...love the line "an origami of conversations" btw! x :) c
