Two Mouths To Feed

Trish makes a go of it, 
  as folks like to say
Two small mouths to feed
  with a third on the way...

Two husbands or three
  She isn't quite sure
A mere ounce of prevention
  Proved not a cure

The end's never pretty
  when a man walks away
What will be, tiny new mouth
  God knows, Trish will pray

heart breaking. Poor Trish hopefully she pulls through the toughest times and she and those babies gain the wisdom that such situations can teach. Congratulations on POTD honors.

"Two husbands or three, she isn't quite sure" Oh my ! Sounds like she was busy before having several kids to feed. There are two sides of every story. Beyond that thought- how sad that children are left in the middle of all of this. Congratulations Gershon, on Poem of the Day. ~ Brandy

Congrats! My friend! Nice to see we have Back to back POTD's. Celebrate! I still am...)) Don't assume she wasn't trying protection. Not all are 100 per cent full proof. Save a woman having her tubes tied.or the morning after pill. I know many women who raised college educated kids, no husband! On top of that God provides. Some husbands beat wives, don't work or are plain losers. Even working husbands can be far from perfect! In any case, kids are the mercy of ANY relationship.Pangie.

Luckily, I left the San Franciso Unified District in 1978. San Francisco is loonier now. Though In the early 70's it was heaven on earth. I was married there, too. But you could not pay me enough to get me there. Teachers think they are Elon Musk? Not hardly! PS..let me know why are people saying Stay safe. Its driving me insane, ))) Pangie.

Yes, indeed. How about that? Let's face it: You and I are now back-to-back. (Little joke there -- very little)... Perhaps the algorithm decided that POTD would go back-to-back to two people from cities with the most radical leftist public teachers unions in the country. lol. I think S.F's may be worse than Chicago's, if that is even conceivable. The Mayor didn't have to sue the union to get an agreement here, though she came pretty close...
