Two Lovers Viii - She Leaves Tomorrow

She sleeps He watches as fine strands of brown silk have escaped her scrunchy and flutter near her face riding the even breaths from her acquiline nose and slightly open mouth He carefully tucks the wisps behind her ear Touches her jaw lightly by accident She closes her mouth and swallows but does not wake He lays on his side Sharing her pillow Arms crossed Absorbing her face Consciously Knowingly Engraving a memory A keepsake A moment that no one else will ever have with her Just for him
