Two Half-Limericks Don't Necessarily Make One Hole

~ She Reached Down My Pants ~

Went to the recent school dance
Was grabbed by a big, fat chance
                Who reached down my pants

But what she wanted was missing
She settled for an hour of French kissing

~ She Was Homely, I Wanted Comely ~

My first date was, to put it mildly, slightly homely
I told her honestly I was seeking someone more comely

What’d she do? She spat in my eye
Told me I was a typical dull guy

'Cos if I wanted the latest gossip ~ with her I’d never be lonely

I struggle with limericks, don't have the 'rules' memorized so I'm not the best at critique from that perspective. From laughter's point of view, I am a seeker and pro who well knows both these limericks are laughter inducers, giggle crafters, and tom foolery coolery. I want to push the Homely/Comely line up closer to the French Kissing, so everyone gets where it's coming from and going. ENJOYED

CayCay, here's a little tip: You can write a limerick without memorizing the rules. For that bit of wisdom, I'll take 10% of your royalties from your first limericks best-seller. Deal?!

Yann, I think we all lose many times in the adventure that is love. But just one victory changes the whole equation. ~ gw

Two half-limericks, boldly sprung— With more cheek than a school bell rung. The rhyme may roam, But it lands at home: A mischievous laugh, neatly flung.😂

Gershon, your zeitgeisty poem shows great creativity with a playful twist on the limerick form, mixing humor and storytelling in a light-hearted way. Great Job
