Notes About The Poem

Trump was elected and the world hasn't ended, but, then again, he doesn't take office until January.

Two days gone by
Armageddon's not here
The election is over
The winner is clear

The locusts aren't coming
The world's not at end
Trump's not taking over
'Til January my friend

Been a few protests
Not much consequence
The media moguls
Are riding the fence

Not much excitement
For spinning the news
Banging heads with each other
With conflicting views

Sure something will happen
The pundits can spin
To increase the ratings
Make the world right again
