Two-Story Heart
Home should be a safe place,
Somewhere you want to go,
Not a deadly battlefield
Where fear and anger grow.
Home must be a garden
Showered by loving light,
A haven of tranquility
Not a ring in which to fight.
When you need a pillow,
A safe place to lay your head
Take comfort in my softness
And where angels daily tread.
I'll champion all your causes,
Catch you when you fall
Because home is where the heart is
And I am at your beckon call.
