Twilight
The blue expanse deepened
And the white dreamy clouds of morn
Were merely darker patches in the sky
Stealthily the sky turned from one shade of sapphire to another
Till the deepest bluest blue spread across the heavens
A full moon quietly rose and sent moonbeams
Into treetops and cottage windows
And fairies slid down
Their silvery laughter ringing in the still air
And played with children in their dreams
