Twilight
I like the pale light of eventide,
when shadows wrap around me;
oh- so sweet the birds evensong,
they are settling in their nightfall nests.
The days end is a dusky time,
to ponder my life by flickering candlelight;
with a dark ruby red glass of wine . . .
Outside an owl hoots in the semi-darkness.
