Twiddly Dinks

Taught by twiddly dinks Your on the brink of discovering that boredom has its own reward It’s not what you think There’s no get rich quick scheme instead there’s a fiery end for those who take what someone else has made When you open your eyes you’ll see what you’ve missed both the sunrise and sunset You’ll find cool colors from childhood, when you step from your nightmares back into dreams Creamsicle swirls, cherry-red poppies, a daisy-necklace meadow and intelligent people - you’ll no longer crave the wasteland nor the twiddly dink spell

Childhood dreams, and creamsicles, they were dreamy! I loved the popsicle trucks, such joyful music that had us all running for our dimes! What a sweet poem, a step back into daisy necklace meadows <3 The contrast to a thief's evil ending was a welcome cool joy...heavenly!

Good one Kim with an important message. Reminds me of the song from a kids show my kids used to watch, "While looking at a great big hole in my sneaker, An old tin can by the side of the road, I almost missed a rainbow, I almost missed a sunset, I almost missed a shooting star going by." Great job here. God Bless, JB

"There’s no get rich quick scheme instead there’s a fiery end for those who take what someone else has made" I am struggling with this. Why do people have to be so cruel to take what isn't theirs. Or ignore what is around them to gain their own means with no remorse for what they've done.

"Creamsicle swirls, cherry-red poppies, a daisy-necklace meadow and intelligent people - you’ll no longer crave the wasteland nor the twiddly dink spell" meaningful and well said. Excellent!

Wisdom shaped rhythm and Rhyme Kim. Love the play on words and challenge to "open your eyes" and step "back into dreams" where simple childhood joys remain unscathed by this chaotic world! Be an original! Great advice! Sending blessings of creamsicles and daisy chains!
