'twas the Night Before Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas and throughout all the land,

Shoppers were swarming Penney's and Walmart without end!

Wild-eyed mobs were elbowing each other without cease!

'Tis another annual brawl! So much for the Season of Peace!

So so true. I never go out on black Friday. All those people could save and go on other days, earlier or later... The stores are just trying to hit upon our greed and to start a feeding frenzy. I wrote a poem called 'Kitty Claus' years ago. It was too long to post here till now. I wish you an enjoyable Christmas.

Second line, It was a shopping nightmare, like combat, hand to hand. Please forgive my interjection, I do know what I do. :) Merry Christmas, good will towards man. :)

good job with this one. I was wondering if the contest meant only one quatrain and I think it does now.
