Twas the Night Before Christmas
Twas the night before Christmas and all seemed to be well,
now to church to hear the ringing bell. Singing pretty songs filled the night air, the red poinsettias had quite a flair.
Into the new fluffy white snow, we needed to walk real slow. We went tippy toe, and put on a funny show.
Off to home so we can eat, a roasted turkey then something sweet. Opening the door hit us with a smell, poor old grandma fell.
Pulled the huge turkey out, that was the smell no doubt. The oven setting was way too high, all we could do was cry.
With everything frozen, there was nothing to be chosen. A big bowl of steaming hot oatmeal, that was our Christmas dinner ordeal.
