'Twas pt 3
Cuz I own the sandbox, the toys, and the blocks.
Cross me and I promise you'll get hard knocks."
Muskrat was gone but Hedgehog's rooting around
For someplace to place some more boots on the ground
Or boats on the pond or subs underneath
There's barrels on barrels and cones on the wreath
"Don't worry or scurry 'round counting the loss.
I promise I am not back on the sauce.
Don't worry 'bout cost. It's just dollars and cents.
And we've stopped making pennies. It only makes sense."
Our Commander's a money man. He knows that dollars
Will make up for what we lack in Cartesian logic.
Don't worry 'bout Wall Street and stuffy old bankers.
They'll soon knuckle under cause ev'ryone hankers
To get rich. And quick is the best way to do it.
We'll not pay the piper. No, we'll tell them, 'Screw it!'"
Debasement's the case for all would-be conquerers
And conquering the Apple from Manhatten to Yonkers
Isn't that, after all, just what the Old Man did?
He drove the Folks bonkers when he was a kid
So they packed him off to what was then called "reform school"
A place to build character learning the rules
Playing soldier was as close as he'd get in his day
But now a toy soldier tells gen'rals what to say
Quite a climb for a silver spoon white collar thief
To the top of the heap, to Commander in Chief
And losers? We've all lost our way in the sting
And losing democracy's become the thing
In this season that was meant for praising The King
Cast by the wayside in anti-hero worshiping
What now means to most is gathering bling
The coins in the pot are replaced with "Cha-ching!"
As celebrated by the now would be king
Gifts he knows we'll bring if we'll just kiss the ring
Or even lower if we pucker up while we're lowering
The expectations our Founders had for the Office
If anyone questions his minions say, "Got this.
After all respect's always been with the beholder.
And you need to respect who's the office holder."
Tis the blight of our Xmas the tarriffs hit bad
Even penguins and polar bears aren't spared from this cad
And just when you thought he was gone, Lo and behold!
The blightware of Xmus's returned to the fold
Folding money's like honey to these Princes of Darkness
And the Muskrat's returned in this season of Harkness
The snow white house fills up with Ho-Hos and tech bros
Counting the cash they'll amass before things come to blows
