Turn And
The future looks so frightening
fifteen minutes after your flower birth at dawn
From heart to soul,
your anxieties let you see
a sky halo of a red sun glow
Arterial uncertainty flowing
thru the grassroot dirt
to stem to petals
The limited possibilities are closing
small town around you,
becoming a fallow field of hope,
as your vigor of youth is blossoming
And the bitter winds of no change
brings an adolescent hardening
This makes you sadly turn and face adulthood
with a dark rosy pistil smile
given to you from your adopted seed mother
And a violet pistol frown
handed down
to you from your drone biological father
So you turn and throw all caution to remain open
in the face of the stiffening breeze
A colorless wind barrier
which makes it so hard for the hormonal honeybees
to come and pollinate your trust
The approaching twilight evening
of your budding maturity
receives the necessary spiritual rain
And the wetness of the dissolving emotional pain
gives you tears of joy ...
as you turn and
open your tulip mind with dying crimson grace
Your fading petals fall,
returning to the nurturing soil,
with unwavering certainty of faith
So, unafraid
you turn and bow to the misty grey reality
of never again having to face
another ruinous red dawn arising
