Trust

If only life was simple and not so hard to take
If I had all the answers to decisions yet to make

If only homes were state supplied and credit cards were free
And all the bills were sent to someone else instead of me

If only children raised themselves and learned their own life-code
Doing only what is right – without ever being told

If only we’d stop struggling against the rising tide
If only we’d remember that from GOD we cannot hide

If only we would trust in Him a little more each day
If only we would read His word and take the time to pray

If only we could understand the depth of His great love
If only to appreciate His coming from above

If only we would realise that He is all we need
And in every situation, He is a friend indeed

No matter what the problem is, however large or small
The promise to those who believe is that He hears your call

If only we just had the sense to let Him bear our load
If only we just had the faith – to let go – and let GOD
