Age of Emancipation.  What is the choice? Alienation? Resignation? The decison is a parents no more

As her father.
I walk her down the aisle.
 People in attendance say
 She looks like a princess
I agree.
It was not always so.
She was my only son.
Until he turned 18.
My only progeny.
Then one day
he came to me.
And said father.
I feel strange.
I don’t feel,
I am a boy.
I want
a sex change.
And so began the process.
For what else could I do?
Now when
the ceremony is over.
He will no longer
be Glenn.
He will
be listed.
As the couple
known as
Gwendolyn and Sven.
