Notes About The Poem

The third James Bond film, Goldfinger, debuted in 1964. The villain plans to set off a small nuclear bomb within Fort Knox, thus making his own supply of gold 10 times more valuable. Would D.T. willfully sabotage the black gold market to make U.S. oil companies (a major contributor) more profitable?

Oddly, the fictional character Auric Goldfinger and Donald Trump act alike. They both love gold and both cheat at golf. Goldfinger and Trump have a desire to win regardless the cost or fallout. Goldfinger's ego led to his destruction. What will D.T.'s lead to? The attached video (which describes Goldfinger) certainly seems to apply to D.T. just as easily. It's eerie.

Zyrool, your wishes are appreciated and noble. We do know that our US president thought he was going to make dealing with Iran look easy and show the world that he does things quickly and effortlessly that no one else could....thus proving to all of us that he is superior to everyone else. While he gets a lesson in ego management after starting a war of choice, the rest of the world suffers as a result. The innocent lives taken in his foolish endeavor disgusts me. Sending you smiles. Sorry it took me so long to respond. Hope you are well. We can never let evil take away our personal sense of value and happiness that we always carry in our heart while we live.

gee they are like terrible twins - someone needs to out trump Trump and fast. At least the scales are falling from the eyes of his once supporters. god help America and the rest of the world from this senile old man. hugs jan xx

Hi Jan. I was struck at how similar both these men are. They even look a lot alike. He still has a core group of supporters and enough of them to keep him in the driver's seat for now. Let's hope that changes. We're thinking the developing shortage of jet fuel may create some incentive for a peaceful solution to the mess he created. When his escapades affect the very rich, then he may have a problem. We never know what the future holds. Sending smiles!!!

Lied about why he put us in war, lied about Obama's deal & said that we gave billions to Iran. We had a great deal with Iran, We knew all we need to know about them. Trump said Iran would have a nuc in 10 years’ And with no proof of nuc power. Went to war with Iran Why? To make a deal with them! (LOL) we already had Obama's deal~ Your kindness spreads to all and warms hearts, you are very dear to us, Duke. Smiling~ love the Goldfinger spread!

Anaya, completely correct you are! The deal made by the Obama administration was concluded by experts and preserving and verifying that agreement could have led to more diplomacy breakthroughs. Now we have no idea what the future holds, except that it will be unkind to many of us. At least we can be kind to each other and smile!!

Hi Lin, Since a malignant narcissist won't stop even if promoted to "Big Brother" status and there's no chance for rehab or therapy, I'm thinking a permanent exhibit at the zoo should do. Smiles!!

Hi Tom, too funny!!! I am amazed at how Goldfinger fits D.T. like a glove. Are we supposed to believe we are seriously talking with the Iranians after we killed their leaders while negotiating? It's like a scene out of the film where Goldfinger gets all the crime bosses together, explains that he's planning to attack the US gold supply, and then kills them all with nerve gas (except the one who was shot and then crushed by a junkyard car compactor). It's strange when life imitates crime-drama art this precisely. Smiles!!

Thanks Arthur. The parallels are striking. As we see the price of oil go up world wide, we might wonder if this was part of the plan. Someone was telling me not to give D.T. that much credit. What's so funny is that the two characters look alike and act alike. If you listen to the description in the video, the comparison is uncanny! Sending smiles!!
