Notes About The Poem

This is my interpretation of Trump's behaviour and attitude. It does not necessarily reflect the thoughts of my work.

Trump Justifies Treason

“It’s a total lie, never happened, fake news”,
Trump utters these words every day,
And he utters them not because any are true,
But to turn black and white truth into grey.

Then grey becomes a voice of “OK, it happened,
But, really, it’s not a big deal”
And to the rest of the world watching aghast,
His voice starts to sound like a squeal.

A squeal of a man stretching a reason, to
“O.K. It’s a big deal, but legal, so who cares?”
Now we all know what’s coming, watching this Titanic,
Sink as he rearranges the chairs.

“Ok it’s illegal, but Obama and Clinton,
Did “something” about “something”, so there”
This representative of the states shifts blame every day,
While still combing over his hair.

Now eagles with morals read emails to Putin,
Looking for a faux pas, for a reason.
To be done with this denier of everything true,
To dismiss him for committing a treason.
