True Love

I have thought my entire life I needed magnificent views And vast landscapes To satisfy my soul The truth is it doesn’t matter Where I am because The beauty surrounding me Isn’t what sustains my spirit The sun lifts once more Above the sea I close my eyes and fall In love with how I remember you I sit there in the dark Beneath the stars In the galaxy of my heart Finally discovered, by you I feel so much Because you are so much More than you will ever know And I am unable to pour it out So instead I kiss your soul Slow and tender With words rising and falling To the rhythm of my heartbeat Now I know and desire No other taste Than the one lingering From your sweet spirit It sustains me Breathes life into my soul A warm sliver of light Spilling across my once cold world
