Triolet - Edited

There's an eight-line poem - Tree-o-lay (as we say). Two same lines do repeat - The A line more than once! Twice rhyme A; once rhyme B. Tetrameter with beat - This form is short and sweet! Rhyme scheme of Triolet: ABaAabAB Oct. 24, 2020 for Joseph May's 'Pleiades 3' Poetry Contest

Andrea, I love your poem and your Triolet - you so much deserved that 1st win, congratulations my friend, I wrote one for this contest, but withdrew as I misread the rules, but I liked my poem so kept it in. Congrats once again Andrea. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Very cute use of the limited pleiades size to describe the Triolet! And I'm glad you didn't do a sonnet one cos you certainly would have beaten mine to a pulp, haha! I wish you all the best ~ John

Great explanation of a triolet, using the very form, no less. Kudos, Andrea... Although this is just silly, I'd like to note here that Triolet rhymes with Frio-Lay. ~ Whatever

I actually wanted to put that into the poem: Frito-lay, but the line length is too limiting. This is what I do not like about the Pleiades form. you can do too little with only six syllables. If only it gave eight syllables instead, like a triolet does!

Sure, Andrea, this piece is so sweet!!
