Notes About The Poem

Vogon Poetry Contest Sponsored by Sotto Poet 2/01/25

Tribute to my Vogon Valentine

My trusty twagwanger trolblasted me I’m woken by chitterlings and crampoons twilling and twonking I cover my mastificle And try to hinkle on the bandistrap As I splurtwangle my lickersplurge I hear mercifulous melodies Floating down I dash to the bubbleblaster And pick purple pongwinkles To brighten my ardurachlego I’m know they’ll wilt montoliously Releasing rancid ramifrons Which stink of chericock cheese … An aroma from my heriboll It reminds me of Chuckielens And days spent at the verileges Of the Zazabor San Tynfartest Oh how we gurgled and benifolded On the banks of Virwestsicage Chuckilens would hold my twagwanger Inspecting it with her tiny vesticart I miss her every single sonyploose Ramfestingly, I’m now asticern I perect my with ponglithwait Visitors no longer vangleswatch But Iggilswander on the twillsidepath I yearn for soltroghaphy and hipleswagfest days

Jan, I think you came up with the most potent one of these yet. The sounds and images are quite amusing. Very suggestive to the imagination. Nice how you incorporated Valentine’s Day. I’m impressed!! Cheers!!

Thanks Jo! I read it to my hubby and he laughed out loud - he was a great fan of Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy on the radio - I never heard it:-) hugs Jan xx

oh my gosh, Jan. Even your Vogon poetry sounds like something that belongs in one of your toilet humor books! "twagwanger" and "chericock cheese!!!" I'm not even going to mention that place in Zazabor. Yep, it sounds like a wagfest to me.
