Tribute to a PoetrySoup Poet Who Has Passed or A Missing Poet Poetry Contest

Connie hails from the 50th state, yet her presence here at Poetry Soup crosses the bridge to all destinations and mankind.
She was a remarkable, charismatic, and energetic woman who touched many people along her journey. Not only with her poetry but with her vocation in serving others as a flight attendant for United Airlines for 34 years and her outside interest as an Aura Photographer and Reiki Master/Teacher.
Connie's last poem was in 2022, and for 12 years, the Poetry Soup Community embraced her excellent poetry writing and, more so, her passion and interaction with her fellow poets.
She was definitely one of a kind and covered a wonderful journey, leaving behind a husband (40+years), 3 grown daughters, a son, and many grandchildren.
The day I learned that Connie had passed, I was heartbroken.
Today, I feel the same and shed more tears.
As I look outside today (I'm also from Hawaii), I hear the birds chirping and see the wind dancing with the ocean ... I look further up at the Koolau Mountains and see the faces of my ancestors, acquaintances, friends, and fellow poets who have passed. I also see Connie. I pause, reflect, and pay tribute. Aloha Connie.
