Tree Rings

I danced rings around the others Who sought shade beneath my girth Turned CO2 to oxygen Just a token of my worth My buds in spring so tantalize Butterflies and buzzing Bees They shelter here all summer Beneath my greening leaves Then in Halloween display They make the rainbows blush Just before they gently fall Quietly “neath Autumn’s hush Now my limbs are cracked and spent Old roots no longer toil Dried bark is chilled by icy winds As this dancer's rings uncoil John G. Good Personification poem, John, I've seen a few other tree poems this week. I resonate with the aging tree. :-) I hope all is well and you muse is being nice to you. Bill

I'd like to leave a comment but I keep ruining it by saying stuff I think that I'm finding funny but isn't funny, so I'm going to keep that all to myself and say trees are magical :)
