Treading Lightly

Be careful what you wish for
Sometimes you’re better
Left in the dark

Stethoscope around his neck
In his pristine white coat
Treading lightly with bedside manner

Report in one hand
Here it comes
The results are in

Brutally knocking the wind
Out of my sail
