Trapeze - Medusa Inspired from Glenn Hughes Song

Written: July 2nd, 2024 For Robert James Liguori Contest ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Patience has been my companion Through endless days and nights In the sweep of love A gentle caress upon my essence Emotions stir within Rise with the sun, my dear May you never stray. You've been evading me for years Spinning in endless circles Forever spinning outward I have a love that fills my heart An unspoken love, concealed within Patience has been my companion Farewell. In anticipation of my love's arrival Oh, longing to embrace my scope Emotions stir within You've been fleeing, always on the move Caress the depths of my being Pause for a moment.

Ah, what a way to express! this is better than a song. 'Emotions stir within/ Rise with the sun, my dear' gives beautiful meanings too. 'pause for a moment' so well written. congratulations dear poet.

A very passionate plea to the loved one to pause at least for a moment to ease your love laden heart and caress the depths of your being. Unrequited love is a nagging pain. You waited patiently all these days and months to get a positive response. But as there is only silence from the other side, you have to bid farewell. Such a soul stirring poem, powerfully unraveling the frustration and pain of unreciprocated love. All the Best dear friend. I am sure this will be placed high.

Hey Sotto, Well, to start off, I would say I love how you've captured the bittersweet feeling. It takes a lot to wait for love, with such patience as a constant companion primarily through the ups and downs. Your wonderful imagery really brings home the emotional journey you're describing. – Blessings, My Friend, Daniel

A lovely though sad lyric, a poem that touches the heart for love has gone astray and left you mourning happier days. I sincerely loved it.

After my very long pantoum with lots of song titles, I don't think I can write for this contest... But, will see if I have a brainwave.. Your poem is a tender and introspective exploration of love's enduring, often painful, presence in one's life. The use of lyrical language and evocative imagery effectively conveys the depth of the speaker's feelings, making it a touching and relatable piece.
