Transition To Death - Part I

Visions of a life unseen, Moments that vanish before thee, Life progresses and I'm left behind, Death a transition of life foreseen. Today you're here, Tomorrow never seems to be, Instances of life and death, Raven of the night take flight and away! Death is calm and precise, Steady and obscure as the night, Pulling strings behind the veil, Pulling me under into the shade. Thy soul shall not awake, A tomb is now your room, Name engraved into stone, And a raven rests above your tomb. Be silent, be still, Believe, be free, Oh, raven, Take me where the shadows grieve. I am very fond of dark poetry, and this is wonderfully-penned, Sek. For me, going to those difficult and often painful places, facing those fears, and turning them into something beautiful, is not only cathartic, but very healing and freeing. Some people think it's just about evil and depression, but that is WAY off the mark, in my humble opinion. Very pleased that Brian saw the beauty in this as well! Really enjoyed this, and congrats on the win fav-ing this one! :-)

Thanks for your comment, Greg. I didn't even now I was a winner, congrats on "Sway" as well. Reading it right now. I'm trying to get more into dark poetry, I love the scenery one can get to. I believe as well that is a common misconception when it comes to dark poetry, people believe one is depressed or its saving up a lot of darkness inside, when reality differs. Appreciate your words, Greg.
