Tragedies Reflection
Shiny pink scar tissue reflecting in the mirror
As the memory knocks screaming I'm here, I'm here
Crawling up my spine is the creature named Fear
So was my tragic sad childhood
Tears cascade down in remembrance of the pain
Pouring over my adolescence like black rain
Nothing I can say will ever adequately explain
So I remain the child, silent
The visions are my nemesis but how to forget
Lying in a locked metal box having to drink my sweat
Like this emaciated 5 year old was ever a threat
So I keep him safe inside me now
Hiding away so many days but a game it was not
Covering sounds, hands over mouth waiting to be caught
Pink scars shining down painting my skin in bird shot
So was my tragic sad childhood
