Towards a Perfect World

TOWARDS A PERFECT WORLD Many times I renegade My heart, my mind and my whole being Escaped from a jungle Where I myself is a sacrifice and alone Indifferent and at times Out of legitimate and unknown. But though I broke From a cell I’m happy and free I am holding now those tears and courage To redeem from that trauma to probate Towards a senile and rationale one Hopefully to better side of the universe. A rebel with a cause Of libertine’s aspirations, hopes and loves That I know I’m sure Someone out of nowhere Looking too for a longing mate And together through sand dunes Will trek to a perfected world Where human understanding delve.

Dalila, is this poem about you? Or are you imagining? I don't know whether it's a symbolic cell or a real one you are describing. But I love the hopefulness you end with, searching for that perfect world. I hope you find it! Luv, Andrea

Dalila, you say you are going back home. Where are you right now then? The cottage sounds so nice. Way out in the country area? I think my dad and his wife do not get along very well (my dad is crazy. He went thru four wives already but this Filipina woman is an ex-nun and very loyal to him). They are both old now and healthy. So at least they have their health! Let me read this poem now.
