Too Much Talk

There’s too much talk of winter now too much talk of weather Every scrap of paper blown outside defiles a memory of the forest green Time for old ones bent o’er rake and hoe to desperately conceive another spring There’s too much talk of winter now

Really enjoyed the reference to the "old ones" hoping for a chance to enjoy another spring, Daver. Cleverly written to evoke a sense of longing for fresher, greener days and lost youth. Excellent one for my favorites! Much love, Carolyn

We got a slight amount of snow yesterday and it is down to 19 degrees here in North Dakota today. I heartily agree with your last line. I love spring and would rather talk of it. Thank you for your kind comment today. Keep on writing! Karen

So let's talk of Spring and the wild running rose that beside my garden grows spiraling upwards to the sunny sky putting on buds that please the eye. Love the topic and the way that you put it together. Keep the magical pen flowing. Sara
